NIKE Football – Write the Future

8 days left to the World Cup and Nike is just in time with one of the best commercials that I have seen in a long time. It’s original, fresh and very Nike. Enjoy!

My Favorite number 7: Gary Roberts

Gary Robert

Gary Robert, #7

One of my favorite Maple leafs players would have to be Gray Roberts. Gary retired lasr year after 21 seasons with the NHL and he will be most remembered for his style of play. He not only could score goals and make good plays but he also played the game with a great deal of GRIT and passion that it was unique and inspiring. Gary was also a great leader in the locker room and he always extended his experience to the younger players and rookies and stood up for them.

I particularly remember Gary Roberts for his performance for Stanley Cup run in 2002. Matt Sundin broke his arm in the play offs and Gary steped up and played one of his best games of his career.

the Toronto Maple Leafs Honored Gary Roberts in Oct 6, 2009 at the Air Canada Center. Here is a video of the event: http://mapleleafs.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?catid=-5&id=48124

Toronto Maple Leafs

Leafs is my team and they will always have a special place in our heart. Another season is coming to an end and there is no sign of post season in this city. It’s shame what has happened to this franchise but things are definitely moving toward a right direction.

It’s great to have Brian Burke as GM of the Leafs and I think Ron Wilson has done a great job with this team. I have enjoyed watching the Leafs this season. They have been resilient and hard working and I don’t recall having a faster team in the history of the Leafs. Looks like Brian is going after draft picks in likes of Luke Schenn. I really hope that in the off season, Brian will sign a few free agents and new players so that we have a play off team next year.
